Weekend Weather Spotlight: 10-28-22

Heavy rains and some severe weather will affect parts of the country through the weekend.

First, a low-pressure system will move through TX today to near the LA Stateline by Saturday morning, then into AR by Sunday morning, and then ends up in east-central IL south of Chicago by Monday morning. Widespread showers and a few storms are expected across TX today and southern MS River Valley on Saturday, then more scattered tyoe activity is anticipated from eastern MO to western KY on Sunday. A few severe storms will be possible with all severe hazards possible in central and southeast TX today and the lower MS River Valley on Saturday. Widespread rains are expected as well with 2-4 inches possible in NE TX, and 1-2 possible N LA/AR/N MS/E AL. 

Finally, a low-pressure system moves to just south of the AK coast, and waves of energy and a frontal boundary with produce periods of rain, some heavy at times mainly for western WA where 1-3 inches could accumulate with some getting 4-5 through the weekend.
