US Weather Spotlight: 11-8-18

Widespread measurable snow is expected today into tonight from the Plains to the Great Lakes as a trough moves through the central US.  Higher snow amounts will be in NE and KS today with widespread 2-4 inches possible, and potentially higher amounts in parts of north central KS. Snow amounts are expected to be lighter further east tonight with mostly around an inch possible into the Midwest and Great Lakes, with parts of northern MO along and to the north of I-70 having the greatest chance of seeing over an inch by Friday morning. Cold temperatures will be another story along with the snow, with widespread highs in the 20-25 degree below average range for early November in some of these same areas.

The south continues to see a chance for showers with the potential for heavy downpours from east TX to the Carolinas today and tonight.
